PLN Icon Plus and PT. SKY LBS TV Launches ICONPLAY Service
Jakarta, January 19, 2024 – PLN Icon Plus today launched its newest product, ICONPLAY which is the result of collaboration with PT. SKY LBS TV. ICONPLAY is a pay television service that combines internet services with IPTV/OTT streaming. ICONPLAY utilizes PLN Icon Plus' ICONNET Fiber Optic service network to present a wide selection of television channels, both local and international.
Currently, ICONPLAY can be enjoyed by ICONNET service customers, which are bundled with a variety of ICONNET Internet Packages ranging from 35 Mbps to 100 Mbps, at affordable prices, including Android OTT Set-Top-Box. And going forward, ICONPLAY will deliver the viewing experience of TV channels and VOD services across multiple devices, making it a versatile multi-device platform.
The ICONPLAY Beta Launching event took place on Friday, January 19, 2024 at the PLN Icon Plus office in Jakarta, which was attended by the board of directors of PLN Icon Plus, PT. SKY LBS TV, and Vidio's content provider partners, local TV, and other invited guests.
Dalam sambutannya, Ari Rahmat Indra Cahyadi selaku Direktur Utama PLN Icon Plus, menyampaikan: “PLN Icon Plus mendapat dukungan penuh dari PLN, bahkan internet broadband ICONNET bukan hanya menjadi program Icon Plus namun sudah menjadi program unggulannya PLN. Jadi saat ini kami mengawal programnya PLN dalam mengembangkan broadband internet. Collaboration between PLN Group and media company PT. SKY LBS TV, and Vidio's flagship streaming media platform, will certainly be a force to deliver competitive television and video content services.
Ari added, "After today, we will soon make greater penetration, we will immediately spread STB and it is very important to get a response from users. What is lacking, what should be improved, what content is in demand, so that we can provide the most fit service positioning".

SKY LBS TV in his speech said, "ICONPLAY will continue to develop innovative content, especially interactive educational content, both for formal and informal education levels, such as foreign language education, MSME development, agricultural and fisheries sector development and other sectors. Mr. Sutanto Hartono as CEO of PT. VIDIO Dot Com in his speech said, "The collaboration between Vidio and ICONPLAY will benefit each other, the broadband internet network owned by PLN Icon Plus will increase the range of services, so that more people outside urban areas can enjoy entertaining and educational content".
